Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
God View is a family safety app. It helps the people you choose see where you are, get your SOS alerts, call you and check in on you. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is written to follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Your location is shared only with the family members you choose, and you can pause it at any time.
- We never sell your data. There are no ads and no advertising trackers in God View.
- Location points are deleted after 7 days. Photos and voice messages after 90 days.
- You can download your data or delete your account from the app at any time.
1. What we collect and why
| Information | What it is | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, mobile number, email (for older accounts), password (stored only as a one-way scrambled code), profile colour, country and time zone. | To create your account, sign you in, show your name to your family, and show local times. |
| Location | Your phone’s GPS position, including when the app is closed (“background location”), and battery level if you allow it. | The main purpose of God View: so the family members you choose can see where you are, and get alerts for safe places, SOS and “hasn’t moved” warnings. Collected only while sharing is on. |
| Family circle | Who is in your circle, invitations, and the sharing choices you make for each person. | To show each person only what you allow. |
| Messages, photos and voice messages | What you post in your circle. | To deliver them to your circle. Stored encrypted. |
| SOS | SOS alerts, and the audio, video and photos your phone records during an SOS if you turned recording on. | To send them to the family members who receive your SOS. |
| Calls and live check-ins | Call details (who called whom, when). The audio and video go live between the two phones; our server does not record them. | To connect family calls and the check-ins you allowed. |
| Care features | Medicine names, times and “taken” marks; your daily “I’m okay” time; safe places you create. | To remind you, and to gently alert your circle if you choose that option. |
| Device | A device identifier, notification token, app version and phone type. | To send notifications, keep the app updated, and make sure each phone gets the free trial only once. |
| Payments | Your plan, how many people it covers, its renewal date and Google Play’s purchase reference. | To unlock God View for your family. Card or UPI details go only to Google Play; we never see them. |
| Support | Messages and files you send us for help. | To answer you. |
We do not read your phone contacts, SMS messages, call log, photos gallery or files, and we do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
2. Phone permissions
- Location (“Allow all the time”): to share your location with your family even when the app is closed.
- Notifications: for SOS alerts, calls, check-ins and reminders.
- Camera and microphone: only for calls, check-ins you allow, voice messages, and SOS recording you turn on.
- Motion sensor: only if you choose “shake to SOS”.
- Alarms and reminders: so medicine reminders ring on time.
You can turn any permission off in your phone’s settings. Some features will then stop working.
3. Who can see your information
Your family circle
Only the members of your circle, and only what you allow each person to see: location, SOS, battery, calls, check-ins and so on. You can change or pause this at any time in Privacy & sharing. A child account’s sharing is managed with its parent or guardian.
Service providers who run parts of God View for us
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| Oracle Cloud (Hyderabad, India) | Hosts our servers and database. |
| Google Firebase Cloud Messaging | Delivers notifications to your phone. |
| Google Maps | Shows the map. Your phone loads map images directly from Google. |
| Google Play | Handles payments, subscriptions and app updates. |
| MSG91 and Jio (TrueConnect) | Send the sign-in code to your mobile number. |
| Email provider (Google) | Sends email codes to older email accounts. |
| OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) | Finds a place when you type an address for a safe place. Only the typed text is sent. |
They may use your information only to provide their service to God View. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We share information with the police or a court only when Indian law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
| Information | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Location points | 7 days, then deleted automatically |
| Circle photos and voice messages | 90 days, then deleted automatically |
| SOS recordings | 1, 3 or 7 days, as you choose |
| Account, circle, care settings | Until you delete your account |
| Security and fraud-prevention records | As long as needed to protect the service, for example a scrambled code of a phone or number that already used a free trial |
When you delete your account, your information is removed from our live systems straight away, and from backups when those backups are replaced.
5. How we protect it
- All connections use HTTPS encryption.
- Locations, photos, voice messages and SOS recordings are stored encrypted.
- Passwords are stored only as one-way scrambled codes.
- Staff access needs a password and an authenticator code, and every staff action is logged.
6. Your choices and rights
- Pause or change sharing: Privacy & sharing in the app.
- See or download your data: Privacy & sharing → Export my data.
- Correct your details: edit your profile, or ask us.
- Delete your account: Privacy & sharing → Delete my account. This also removes you from your circle.
- Withdraw consent: turn sharing or a permission off at any time. This does not affect what was shared before.
- Nominate someone: you may name a person to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act. Email liyatto2023@gmail.com.
- Complain: contact us first (below). If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Children
You must be 18 or older to create your own God View account. A parent or legal guardian can create a child account for a child in their family, and gives consent for the child when doing so. We do not show ads to anyone, and we do not track children for advertising.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
9. Contact us
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email liyatto2023@gmail.com, or write to us in the app: Settings & help → Get in touch. We aim to reply within 7 days.
